For dramatics, the fall season smells fresh of leather (faux), cheetah prints, the color mud red, body jewels, and oversized silhouettes.

Styling and layering without losing your authentic charm is a fruitful challenge, and what dramatic individual has ever backed down from a good challenge, right?

Your element is drama; your element is success.

Your element is power, and your element is dangerous. How to incorporate that with your fall outfit choices?

We’ll get there soon!

Here’s the best catch, fall season’s fresh breeze expects you to layer up, so you will have not two but multiple articles on your body to express and welcome the season with a theatrical glamour.

Being a Dramatic, you don’t have to blend these pieces together on your body to create one single image.

Instead, be a canvas of bold and unconventional combinations.

Each article should stand out with glory and focus; their theatrical appeal would be enough to deliver the right image for you, which is unapologetically bold, dramatic, fierce, powerful, and antic.

That’s precisely what I love about the dramatic body type— you always have the power to grasp attention and leave the crowd stunned to its core.

So, how can you create a fall season wardrobe that’s undeniably edgy and still full of drama?

How do you choose outfits that will not only compliment the fall season but also your precise body silhouette?

Well, that’s what I’m here for— To curate an expressive fall wardrobe for my dramatic beauties.

From top to bottom, let’s unravel it all, shall we?

Brief summary of dramatic body type and its accommodation!

I highly recommend going through these two articles “Kibbe Body Types” and “Dramatic Body Type” to have a better understanding of your silhouette.

Trust me, it will forever come in handy!

Regardless, if you don’t have the time, here’s an overview of Dramatic Body’s main accommodations.

Kibbe Accommodation: It basically means the key features/highlights of your body.

For dramatics, that would be verticality (tall and elongated), narrow frame, sharp (sleek line) silhouette, well-defined shoulders, sharp features, and a non-voluptuous figure.

Instead of hiding these elements, Kibbe believes in highlighting them to compliment your body frame without suffocating it into clothes that are not made for your body.

Kibbe Dramatic’s Fall Wardrobe | Complete Style Guide

  • Verticality: Long outfit choices, whether it’s your top, bottom, or dress.
  • Narrow frame: Exposing skin has always been a charmer, especially that toned/taut belly button.
  • Sharp silhouette: Instead of being body-hugging, your outfits should have sharp edges and creases altogether.

Let’s get into the details!

Asymmetrical outfit choices

No matter how many layers you have on your body, keep them asymmetrical, especially your neckline and hem.  The more asymmetry, the more lines/edginess you will add to your outfits.

Here are a few instances:

Suppose you go with a shirt and a blazer. In most cases, individuals will tuck the shirt properly and wear a well-fit blazer.

NOT YOUR CASE!

You want to skip or throw the basic assortment out.

Instead, choose to crop the shirt at different lengths, have big collarbone-showing collars, let the blazer be oversized and long, and add equally loose (straight) pants but make it low-waist. Adding a tie would be the cherry on top of your unconventional fit.

  • The different lengths of your outfit would welcome asymmetry, especially the irregular hem of your shirt.
  • The oversized blazer will enhance your boxy silhouette.
  • Straight pants, a tie, and sharp blazer blades will define your lithe and straight figure.
  • Even when going with a high neck, adding a long diagonal slit or an open back is more than welcome.

Lengthy outfits

It’s not like you cannot slay short or thigh-length outfits. However, fall is a season where length’s good!

This doesn’t mean you cannot wear crop outfits! If you are choosing pants or shirts, don’t miss out on the height! Have at least one element that elongates your height.

When choosing bottoms, select the one that reaches the floor instead of your ankles.

If you want to wear ankle-length straight pants, the shirt should be bigger and fill up the height gap.

Similarly, if you choose to go with a crop top, ensure the bottom is long enough!

When I say crop, I don’t mean waist-length tops; they should be closer to your bustline. When you are choosing something crop, it should highlight your waist.

Remember, you are already tall, so showing skin/elongated parts of your body will compliment your height naturally.

The same goes for sleeves; you should either choose to keep your arms bare completely or have full sleeves.

Choose outfits that highlight your collarbone, rib bones, and waist

You have a bony/taut body; highlight those elements and flaunt those sharp collarbones, rib bones, and narrow waist.

  • Choose necklines that highlight your collarbone and chest.
  • Choose a top length that allows you to flaunt that waist.

Of course, with fall around the corner, exposing skin becomes a dilemma.

That’s where layering comes in. Instead of hiding these away in folds of dense clothes, choose a sheer material high neck to wear inside or outside your main top, followed by a boxy overcoat.

Add straight lines to your outfits, whether top or bottom

If your outfit has sleeves, it should be skin-fit so as to highlight your taut arms. Otherwise, keep it loose and long with creases.

You can choose to have corset details in your high-neck/turtleneck top, or better, you can add a strappy top/bralette above your high-neck to give it the much-needed edge.

For bottoms, straight pants with defined creases are the best choices to define your legs.

At the same time, bell bottom/skin-fit bottoms also add lines to your legs because they outline your already taut and straight figure quite successfully.

Men’s wear

We have to start with men’s wear and for all good reasons. A dramatic body type in men’s wear is the epitome of success and unconventionally.

Plus, the amount of layers and warmth it provides is just about the right decision for the fall season.

It’s not just the success-driven image men’s wear brings along.

It’s also the fact that, unlike women’s attire, men’s attire is often adorned with straight lines, sharp creases, linear stitches, and a boxy (rectangle) silhouette; all these elements are perfect for your body type.

Let’s have a rundown— we have suits, formal vests, shirts, pants, and overcoat.

My current favourite combination for dramatic body type is the oversized formal vest with a sharp & deep v-neck that runs down towards your stomach— match it with an oversized but structured overcoat that’s pointy on the shoulders and adorned with creases.

  • Ditch the basic designs and allow asymmetry and irregular cuts to your formal attire.
  • Invite strap details to your overall suit.
  • Oversized pants and blazer combo, but switch the shirt with a mesh top or a strappy bralette.
  • Irregularly cut sleeveless blazer with shoe pants.

Color choices and Color Blocking

Ditch the neutral colors this fall season; you want something more seasonal than that!

So, anything from brown to muddy red, forest green, auburn, solid orange, or maroon works.

You can either choose to have a monochrome getup or invite color blocking to your attire.

Bold color choices will always work for you, but make sure you choose colors in your seasonal palette.

This article, “Seasonal Color Analysis”, will help you find colors that best suit your overall tone.

Combining men’s wear and women’s wear

Kibbe Dramatic is all about playing with your silhouette, and what’s better than combining two opposite fashion fields— men’s wear and women’s wear?

You have probably already tried a blazer with a bralette or corset.

  • It’s time you style a crop shirt and blazer with a low waist (floor length) skirt. It would accentuate your height and define your lines. Adding a tie to the overall combo will give you that unconventional edge.
  • Long layered shirts with an equally long skirt, but ¾ straight skirt would work, too!

Leather and fabric choices.

For this fall season, there’s nothing better than choosing outfits made of leather— it adds structure, edginess, and sharp lines to your overall getup.

You can choose to wear leather pants with cotton shirts or a leather body suit. In fact, I highly suggest choosing an outfit wholly made of leather.

Black leather would work for the season, but we have many color options to not give a try!

  • Leather blazer with leather pants.
  • Long and strappy leather overcoat that will keep you warm and edgy
  • Leather vest reaching your tailbone with bell-bottom leather pants— it’s a Bella Hadid Classic.

After leather, heavy and bold fabric choices such as sequin

Neckline

Having big collars is always a go-to choice for your body type because they flaunt collarbones, but anything asymmetrical is more than welcome.

  • Closed (high) neck but with defined creases throughout the shoulder line.
  • When going with sleeves, the shoulders should have edgy/pointy pads to add structure to your overall outfit.
  • Crisscross neckline, long and sharp v-neckline, straight boatneck, or strapless will emphasize your sharp shoulder blades and collarbone. To keep yourself warm, add a warm overcoat.

Sleeves and shoulder details.

Full sleeves that are longer than your hands are the best choices for the autumn season, but that’s not all!

My current favourite sleeves are the ones that are cut and separated from the shoulders.

Sleeves with irregular cuts throughout their existence are more than welcome, too!

Tops

  • Patterned mesh/sheer bodycon tops.
  • Corset-detailed highneck.
  • Diagonal cuts and strap stitches in a random assortment.
  • Crop length is welcome because it flaunts your narrow waist frame. The long length is welcome, too because it surprises your height.
  • Transparent shirts.
  • Crop blazers that descent towards a transparent corset finish

Patterns

Bold patterns have always been your hallmark— so welcome them everywhere, whether your skirts, blazers, overcoats, or dresses.

  • Bring in artistic paintings to your skirts and overcoat.
  • Tree pattern for the sake of the fall season.

Layering

For individuals with dramatic body types, layering is actually a plus point for your overall getup.

It’s because layering can give space to a lot of asymmetry and sharp lines. Don’t only layer your upper body, but get creative with your lower body, too!

All the layers should have a different length; this will facilitate geometric lines to your outfit.

Here’s an example: A high-neck bodysuit followed by a crop shirt that ends above your breasts, a tie that reaches your pelvic bone, and a long blazer.

For bottoms, you can either layer different lengths/patterns of skirts or layer pants with skirts— both are equally desirable.

Accessories

Accessories are one of the many important aspects that differentiate wearing vs styling.

It completes your outfit and adds value to your overall aesthetics and essence. So, never miss out on the opportunity to accessorize, especially as a Kibbe Dramatic.

You shouldn’t be subtle with your outfit choices, and the same goes for your accessories— GO ALL OUT WITH YOUR CHOICES!

  • Let’s start with headgear and hats:

Both are welcome at the same time. You can wear headgear along with a hat as long as they match the vibe you wish to execute. Fall is perfect for hats and headgear.

When wearing a dress, you can choose a rhinestone-studded head scarf that covers the face’s entirety. Babushka-style scarf to add colors and patterns.

  • Body Jewelry

Cover yourself with gold, diamond, and silver, honey!

Your element is about going ALL-OUT! From bold and unconventional earrings to necklaces, rings, and body harnesses, welcome it all!

My current favourite is wearing top-bottom metal jewellery over a midi dress.

  • Sunglasses

You are in luck because the current sunglass trends are just perfect for dramatic body type and style. Some of the great choices include futuristic shields and steampunk sunglasses.

  • Footwear

High heels, chunky Chelsea, knee-length leather boots, etc.
