Matcha Cake Easy Recipe

It is literally 20 min or less!

Ok, a little confession here: I have never thought I would start baking.

So, believe it or not, this is a beginner starter. It’s a perfect recipe for those who have no time and are too impatient to cook for a long time.

This is a 20-minute activity that even a child can do!

Look what I did here:

Ingredients that you will need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 80/100 gr of flour
  • 1 TB spoon of matcha for a cake
  • 1 TB spoon of matcha for a cream
  • 50 ml of milk (oat milk in my case)
  • 20 ml of sunflower oil
  • 1 TB spoon of mascarpone or sour cream
  • 50 gr of sugar for a cake
  • 20 gr of sugar for a cream
  • fruits or berries as per preference

As I mentioned above in the video, you’d need two bowls for preparation. One that is bigger for egg whites and a smaller one for egg yolks.

Once divided, use your mixer on the 1st level of force to be gentle and add sugar accordingly.

As a result, after stirring it up, you will get a good texture for egg yolks now.

Start mixing white with yolks with a wooden spoon or whisk. Once yolks are distributed well enough, add flour and matcha, stirring it all up one by one.

You will receive a light greenish texture. For a better flavour, you can add coconut chips.

Now, find an aluminium or clay bowl for baking, and that would be helpful if you could smash some butter in it or cover it up with parchment paper.

Now, pour the whole mixture into it and put it in a preheated 170 degrees oven for 20 minutes.

And, Bam! Take it out and remove the paper immediately until it’s hot.

You can create this simple cream with just a tablespoon of mascarpone and 20 gr of sugar.

Mix it up for about 3 minutes or so, add a tablespoon of matcha, and mix it well.

You are ready to cover the hot cake with this green cream. If you like strawberries, add one on top of it.

You can also add some bananas, papaya, apples, etc.

Do you know what I love adding as a topping here?

It’s gluten-free marshmallows. Try it out; you will be surprised at how well it turns out.

If you think this portion is tiny, multiply all the ingredients by 2, which will be an adequate size for four people!
