Putting together a Fall wardrobe with soft summer colors. When wearing delicate summer hues with fall ensembles, it’s important to take your wardrobe’s overall color scheme into account.
When combined with other cool tones like gray, navy, and white, these hues look their best.
I have selected the wardrobe from Aritizia and Nordstrom and this is the color palette I was able to distract.
Take into consideration, that I select clothes based on my personal taste. It’s appropriate for my lifestyle and the lifestyle of a lady who’s into elegance and comfort.
I’d like to start with the sweaters (of course it depends on where you live and whether you’ll use them or not). We are talking about the Soft Summer, which is meant to be based on the basis of grey color undertone, the grey sweater is almost a must for you.
Bags I will be using for this capsule wardrobe:
Notice how this grey is in the light spectrum. This color is a perfect choice for those who are returning back from a September vacation and still a bit bronzed.
It gives a very refreshed and enhancing effect on the appearance of the face frame.
I’d like to match it with dark Asphalt grey flared pants and a white or black leather bag with cowboy boots.
I particularly like these Demellier bags (they are all over Instagram), yet they are very elegant and actually useful.
And recently found Verafied a New York-based brand as well.
To keep it brighter I’d use brighter accessories like a blue bag and a silk scarf.
That’s a good idea to diversify your routine and basic look if you don’t want to dwindle down in the darkness of the cold season. Whether you like it or not, it’s going to transit to winter.
One more light grey cashmere sweater that is a little bit oversized and looks very relaxed yet elegant. It matches really well with white. I’d also like it to go with white pants and a Demellier bag.
These off-white leather cowboy boots are a perfect solution for wide-leg pants if you want to keep the length of the pants without shortening them.
A beige-colored bag would also look very calming yet refreshing.
An elongated light grey cardigan – a really versatile piece to have. It can work as a light jacket during warmer days or even a warm item for the upcoming winter.
That would work for the office as well and the wide-leg flared pants.
One of my most favorite pieces for Autumn are faux leather sun skirt.
And this season 2024/25 this dark chocolate color is going to be in trend everywhere.
It’s a beautiful color of roasted bean. Are you also a coffee drinker? 🙂
This dark color can be used with multiple items from light to dark, from dark to bright.
I’d go for a black short-sleeved or a teal-blue colored turtleneck. Both would go well for this outfit. It’s rather an elegant outfit, but still, it gives a bit of a dramatic vibe to it because of the texture of the fabric.
To make it even sharper I’d use pointed-toe pumps and probably a sleekbun. That’s going to be this season’s office “mermaid” fall edition style.
If you are afraid of other colors than just neutral, but still want to try using them. I’d suggest that you start with the “bright” from your own palette.
Something like this teal-green turtleneck can be used with a plethora of grey-based naturals.
I really like these Adidas trainers that would add up to the color palette and make the outfit look more versatile instead of just using the pumps.
Here is a dark navy blue sweater – a perfect cold-based neutral to be used with the other grey-toned bottoms.
I like how everything matches with the Demellier bags. Every basic outfit just instantly becomes more polished and refined.
Light pastel pink hues are a perfect match to the Soft Summer palette. That’s a lovely color combination of Lotus pink and Vapor Blue which is grey.
These specific colors are neutral, but still, the lightness of them are not washing you out – right on the contrary, it refreshes your appearance.
If you are afraid of this very color, I’d also try using a blue-toned silk scarf right near the face.
A veiled pink sweater with blue denim is an easy way to use for every day.
For a stylish and carefree look that’s perfect for weekend excursions, you could also choose a powdery pink top and pair it with an ankle boot & jeans.
A rather warm cashmere off-white cable knitted sweater is a classy piece to have and it goes well with pitch black.
You match it with wide-leg pants and for example, these off-white loafers to match with the color of the sweater.
I’d also do it with the sun skirt and pointed-toe heels to make it more classy.
Another beautiful and versatile piece of pie is this silent foam grey-colored sweater that is short-sleeved. That’s also a great option for those who work in the office.
There is nothing to add – beautiful front-cut slit pants with pointed-toe pumps to elongate your legs.
A bright and light wool sweater that is cropped – a perfect idea for high-weighted bottoms. You can wear your regular jeans, but I’d like to go with an asymmetrical pleated blue skirt.
I loved this skirt – it’s good for any season not only summer. I’d use them with these Adidas trainers and probably tie a silk scarf to a rather neutral bag.
This skirt can matched up with other colors and for different types of occasions as well as seasons.
You can easily wear it with a dark blue cardigan and even trainers or cowboy boots.
A very stylish combination here of an elongated shirt and flared dark pants. This is Ether color that is dusty blue – exactly what a Soft Summer needs.
To make this silhouette longer – you’d want to use the printed toes, to make it more casual and comfortable – use the trainers. For both occasions, this Demellie bag fits perfectly well.
I love this color for you.
Nile Blue silk top for other occasions. The reason I include these is the fact that you will need a classy piece (for me it’s always silk), because even during colder times – there will be events where you need to use something like this, and also the color of it I could not resist. I had to include it – that’s the epitome of the Soft Summer palette.
For fall, I’d go for black with it – something like a classic sun skirt with pointed-toe pumps.
And one more “blue moon” teal-blue short-sleeved blouse with cream-white pants I would match with off-white loafers or even Adidas trainers.
What else could we match with a black sun-skirt?
This off-shoulder black sweater – that’s an occasional outfit that would rather require an event to show off your shoulders.
Not everything here needs to be black only, you can diversify it with a bright blue bag as well.
A beautiful dusty blue with purple reflection – that’s one of the best colors for the Soft Summer. It’s an elegant option with a shimmery effect that will always reflect well on your face.
It’s a rather silent vibe – so I’d match it with grey pants and an interesting bag.
A pure dusty blue shirt that can go with literally anything in your wardrobe. The office pants, the wide-leg flared pants, denim.
I love the denim skirt especially – to make it more interesting match it with a blue bag and trainers.
Pure mulberry silk Baja blue blouse – is one of the most versatile and actually needed items for you.
It’s an elegant piece to have and so useful. You can diversify it with rather casual bottoms like denim. Silk and denim are a great match for a semi-formal event.
I know it’s not for everyone, but I just loved this denim overall.
Federal Blue color is exactly what you need. I’d like to match it with the silk scarf around the neck and for a more casual event I’d use trainers or my favorite cowboy boots (which I use myself).
Here I found a perfect shade of blue and grey color combination – it’s the Folkstone grey color. If that is not a soft summer palette, I don’t know what is.
And you don’t have to spend much time thinking how to match it – it’s basics and goes well with all neutrals.
A beautiful elongated light grey blazer that has an emphasized waist. It is one of the best neutral colors and pieces of wardrobe to have.
An all-grey outfit will fit you perfectly well. There is a plethora of shoes and accessories you could use here. I like what we have so far.
A contrasting dark blue jacket – that’s basics. It can work for rather grey-toned colors as well as more contrasting white ones.
A totally white outfit is not a bad idea for you as well. It’s a magnificent blazer with a well-emphasized waist, sharpened shoulder line, and elongated length.
It’s a rare find, it reminds me of the old Dior collection.
An elongated sleeveless blazer can be used well with a turtleneck of your choosing. Also a versatile item in a basic black color to be matched with the neutrals.
Dresses For Soft Summer Fall
I could not omit this deep teal green mid-length dress. It’s a nice piece, but here you have to be sure of your seasonal color palette (make sure it’s on the colder side).
One more green dress. It’s a bright version of it. Make sure you are wearing it at the appropriate time of the year for your type.
An electric blue is one of my favorite colors for me. You don’t necessarily need to be a perfect soft summer, you can be a transit type to use all these pieces of wardrobe.
Think about incorporating soft pastel-colored jewelry, handbags, and scarves as accessories to add a pop of color.
Choose jewelry in summery hues such as baby blue, pale yellow, or pastel pink when it comes to clothing.
These hues are easy to combine with other accessories in your wardrobe to give a dash of femininity and freshness to any ensemble.
